Turkey: Marmaris - Bozburun

  • Level of difficulty: Medium
  • Season: May – October
  • Service: 3/5

For those first time yachting in Turkey, such an itinerary as Marmaris-Bozbrum would be a great option for getting to know non-hotel, non-tourist Turkey. After returning from such a trip, many begin to feel differently about this country (in a good way).

Unlike the routes from Göcek/Fetye, Marmaris-Bodrum is more civilised, with full-fledged marinas and good service.  On the other hand, some of the anchorages will be in secluded coves, so you can try anchoring both ways and see which you like more.

Traditional itinerary: Marmaris – Çiftlik – Bozukkale – Orhaniye – Bozburun – Serce Liman – Marmaris. Length: about 120NM.
